- Bulgaria-Italy-Spain supercapacitors
During the first stage of the project, various forms of training of young researchers and staff exchange are envisaged, which include virtual training, specialization courses, etc. Activities for communication, dissemination and exchange of knowledge will be carried out, such as participation in international forums, youth schools and others. The integration of the expertise and capabilities of the three research centers will allow the creation of a sustainable scientific network and will increase the overall international visibility of the entire consortium in the field of supercapacitors.
Project network and management
Exchange of know-how and technology transfer
Disseminations and exploitation
Efficient and smooth implementation of the planned activities to reach the main project goal – spreading excellence in research & development in the field of supercapacitor technology.
The WP aims to increase the number of R&D collaborations among IEES-BAS, CNR-ITAE and CSIC-INCAR in the field of electrochemical energy storage on the platform of supercapacitors. We aim to integrate the skills and research capabilities, in order to boost knowledge exchanges and to meet IEES-BAS needs. Therefore, the research capacity of IEES-BAS staff will be enhanced in its weak points evidenced in SWOT analysis as the lack of a well-established know-how on supercapacitors. Applying the approach “learning by doing” the young researchers will be trained by virtual online meetings and discussions on different subjects such as the synthesis and development of cost-effective carbons of tailored properties, metal oxides and polymer electrolytes as well as the characterization of full supercapacitors. An advanced solid-state supercapacitor with optimised performance will be developed and fabricated as a focus of the project.
The strategic goal of the first year of the project is to improve the skills and research capabilities in hybrid supercapacitor devices for the IEES-BAS Institution, but also to facilitate the integration of the consortium the EU search efforts to power the next-generation of electrochemical power devices and provide solutions for frequent-charge/discharge power systems.
