Online Training

In implementation of the work program under the BIScaps project on 10.12.2020 on-line training was conducted in several separate modules.

The trainings were conducted by representatives of CSIC-INCAR and CNR-ITAE, prominent specialists in the relevant scientific field and covered the following more important aspects:

  1. Preparation of composite electrodes;
  2. Introduction of electrochemical methods for active electrode materials test in supercapacitors.

Chemical characterization and possible control in carbon gels
Complete porosity characterization and possible control in carbon gels
Structure characterization and its influence on electric conductivity
Proposal of procedures for synthesis in BISCAPS

Sixth module - 10 December 2020, time: 12:00 (13:00 СЕТ)

  • Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy – Introduction to dynamic EIS
  • Long-term durability tests by galvanostatic charge-discharge and voltage hold (floating) conditions 
  • Self-discharge measurements after charging supercapacitors for 2-4 hours at maximum voltage (e.g. 1.6 V)
  • Examples of supercapacitor studies based on reduced graphene oxide materials (rGO)
