- Bulgaria-Italy-Spain supercapacitors
In the period 16 - 26.10.202 in the city of Messina, Italy, the scientists from the Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems, BAS - Prof. Antonia Stoyanova, Res. Assoc. Svetlana Veleva and Res. Assist. Boryana Karamanova, as part of a joint project under the "European Networks" program, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria, conducted a working visit to the Institute for Advanced Energy Technologies "Nicola Giordano" at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR-ITAE).
During her stay there, the project manager Prof. Antonia Stoyanova held talks with Dr. Francesco Lufrano regarding the implementation of tasks until the end of the second period of the project and planning of activities for its final stage. The preparation of joint publications was discussed, emphasizing the need to speed up this activity, with a view to a wider dissemination of the obtained results.
Res. Assoc. Svetlana Veleva and Res. Assist. Boryana Karamanova were trained by their Italian colleagues in conducting impedance studies of supercapacitors. New skills and knowledge regarding the preparation of the electrodes and assembly of the electrochemical cells were accumulated. Results obtained were discussed.
A joint meeting was also held with the director of the institute, Dr. Antonio Arico. The implementation of the current project was discussed and satisfaction with the successful cooperation between the two organizations was expressed. Prof. Stoyanova thanked for the opportunity to train the young scientists from IEES-BAS in CNR-ITAE. Possibilities for joint application in projects under various European programs were discussed.
