On 06.06. and 07.06.2023, together with representatives of "3K" AD, in Albena resort, Bulgaria was held a practical training on the topic: "Renewable energy sources and energy storage systems. Application of supercapacitors in real projects".

The training was attended by 19 researchers from the BIScaps project team from the Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IEES-BAS), Bulgaria, the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - Istituto dTecnologie Avanzate per l'Energia (CNR-ITAE), Italy, and the Spanish National Research Council - National Coal Institute (CSIC-INCAR), Spain, who applied theoretical concepts to practical tasks in the following areas:

1.         Best practices used by 3K AD in the design, construction and commissioning of energy storage systems

2.         Application of supercapacitors in energy storage systems - implemented projects, encountered difficulties, aspects, advantages

3.         Innovative developments in photovoltaic systems and the place of supercapacitors in them.

The training took place within the framework of implementation of the planned project activities „Twinning cooperation for boosting excellence in electrochemical energy storage on the platform of supercapacitors (BIScaps)“, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria under the National Programme "European Science Networks" (D01-286/07.10.2020).
